Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is a singer/actress from the USA. Her parents are Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier and both are television news directors. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment at an early age. She was just 12 when she went to her first audition and won an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell was appointed by her mom as an agent when she was just thirteen years old. Bell was later cast for newspaper ads and TV commercials. Bell also began taking private acting classes around this time. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a member of the drama and musical club at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy role. Bell was then transferred to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell left college in 2001 when she landed the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her debut on the credit screen playing the character of Becky Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however, her scene was cut from the film, and she was not even on the screen credits. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in The Crucible Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
