Anamaria Marinca, born in Romania, is an actress. She made her debut on the huge screen with Sex Traffic by Channel 4, for which it was the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. The actress fluently speaks French, German and English. Her mother was a violinist, Her father is a professor of theater at one of the best Romanian theater schools. Apart from her amazing role in Sex Traffic Anamaria Marinca is most famous for the role she played in the Romanian artist-directed film 4 Months 3, Weeks 2, Days. This film won several accolades including an award called the European Film Award Best Actress from the The London Film Critics. In 2007, she was a part of in the Romanian film 4 luni 3 semaines si 2 days (4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days) directed by Cristian Mungiu. It was awarded the Palme d'Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and two other prizes (the Cinema Prize of the French National Education System and the FIPRESCI award). In addition, she appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar in the BBC 5-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played the role of Yasim Anwar as part of Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, as well as in the Romanian film Boogie. In the following year, she was an important role in 2014's Fury where she played Irma her German aunt of Emma.
