Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero has been model and actress in the United States for a number of years. She was the main female singer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. Apollonia, a singer/actress born to Prince in 1984, became one of many female musicians of the 80s that benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero was born in Santa Monica in California in 1959. Her career started as a model during the late 1970s. Kotero also was a guest on CHiPS. The female lead of Prince's Purple Rain was her first performance from 1984. Prince changed the girl's name during this time. The actress replaced Vanity with the female trio Vanity 6 for her role in the film as Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. She made more of an influence on the charts by being Prince's partner on Take Me with You, a duet from his soundtrack. When the two had a disagreement over the direction of her career Apollonia six broke up and Kotero quit her relationship with Prince. She went on to appear in various minor roles throughout this time (reportedly refusing to take part on the Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) before landing in the role of a nighttime show Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia's debut album was released in 1988. However, the R&B/dance tracks were not well received by those who bought music. The album soon vanished. The actress continued acting (if somewhat unnoticed) during the subsequent decade. Small TV appearances, minor films, and exercise videos kept her busy. Apollonia recorded a bilingual album called Stay With me. Then, she went back to college and received an education in filmmaking. Then, she started her own production firm. Apollonia is an incredibly talented woman. She was a model, singer-actress as well as a talent management manager. She is famous for her performance in the movie Purple Rain.
